Buck Converter PCB

Project Description:

Buck Converter PCB is a PCB design that incorporates a Maxim Integrated MAX1627 buck converter unit. It was created in Autodesk Eagle PCB and once printed will operate as a 2 layer PCB that can convert down voltages depending on the external setup of what the user chooses. The board can operate over a 2.6-16.5 input voltage and outputs a range of 1.3-16V depending on the values of an adjustable output operation circuit. A simple buck converter was also analyzed in LTSpice to study basic characteristics of buck converters. 

Responsibilities:

  • Creating schematic of buck converter in Autodesk Eagle PCB.

  • PCB layout of buck converter. 

  • Simulation of a buck converter in LTSpice to analyze output voltages of 5V, 3.3V and 1.8V.
